Days of Joy Kit

This year the Barakah Life Ramadan Challenge has a new name which is the "Days of Joy".

The name change is a natural consequence of trying to align the name with what Ramadan is to the heart of Muslims.

The Days of Joy Kit is just a little boost to aid in bringing your natural creativity into your family’s life during Ramadan.

Parent and child decide on a commitment that the child should accomplish during the blessed month of Ramadan. For every day that the commitment is completed, a star or sticker will be placed on the date of the calendar. This will track the progress of the child’s commitment.

Commitments could include: memorizing a surah of Quran, memorizing the 99 names of Allah, doing more chores, read more books, etc.

Barakah Life Ramadan Calendars - Ahmad

Children’s Ramadan Calendar

The calendars are a means of encouragement as well as a visual way for children to count each blessed day of Ramadan, the ones that have passed, and those still ahead. The Ramadan Calendars are handmade using natural materials, wool and silk, and are available in a variety of colors. The calendar is a one-time purchase for your child and can be used throughout their growing years. The calendar easily hangs on your wall, and features a pocket and button for each day of the month. With the passing of each day, children can mark the day with a star and search the days pocket for a treat. Parents can fill the pockets with chocolate coins or candy, small gifts, notes or other treasure according to your child’s interest.

Each calendar measures 19×24 inches with 3 inch square pockets.

The Ramadan Calendar has become a tradition is many families homes, one that children look forward to year after year. The calendar comes blank at the top or it can be custom embroidered for an additional fee.

Since 1999, Barakah Life’s Ramadan Calendars have become a Ramadan tradition. They are a means of encouragement as well as a visual way for children to count each blessed day of Ramadan, that has passed, and those still ahead. Children look forward to using their calendars year after year.

The Ramadan Calendars are handmade using natural materials like wool and silk, and are available in 7 colors. The calendar is a one-time purchase for your child and can be used throughout their growing years. The calendar can easily be hung with a rod, and features a pocket and button for each day of the month. With the passing of each day, children can mark the day with a star and search the day’s pocket for a treat. Parents can fill the pockets with chocolate coins, small gifts, notes or other treasures according to the child’s interest. Each calendar measures 19 x 24 inches with 3 inch square pockets.

Many families create their own Ramadan traditions with their calendars. When little Ahmad was interested in stones, his mother purchased a small book of gems and in each pocket she added a different gem or stone and a little sweet! Another family helped their children memorize the names of Allah by adding a name to each pocket, along with a piece of candy. Some families use one calendar for all their children, while others prefer to have one calendar per child.
