Habib Umar bin Hafiz, may Allah subhana wa ta’ala elevate and protect him, began a weekly class on tazkiya (purification). The class began with the reading of “Red Sulfur and the Greatest Elixir,” (al-Kibrit al-Ahmar wa ‘l-Iksir al-Akbar) by Habib ‘Abdullah bin Abu Bakr al-’Aydarus.
