AOA,

I've come across your blog recently. There is a lot of interesting things that can be done in the light of Islam as we progress in these rapidly changing times. I live in Lompoc, CA, a community 45 minutes north of Santa Barbara. We will be essentially documenting what activities we partake in and what our vision is for the community. In a way it can be guidance for other small communities looking to get involved in their locality. The URL is: www.islaminlompoc.org

Our community is fairly small but inshallah that's not going to stop us. I've just moved here and am still getting to know the others. I will also be putting up a blog for the community of Santa Maria.

The strategic thing would be to have some sort of publications or icons for the various islamic communities around the nation, if not around the world, and to link to each other. I definately want to avoid unnecessary clutter and arguments, because this should be an enlightening experience. By doing so, various communities can develop their own 'personality'. I won't get too technical and this should be good for now. Please do keep in touch. Jzk
