This is an independent event for people who are looking for entertainment. ISNA will not have an entertainment session this year.

Hey, here’s an idea. Let’s forget about entertainment since Ramadan begins a mere two days later. This is time to prepare for the holy month. Or is entertainment more important than worship?

This is a Halal alternative for those who may be tempted by not-so-halal entertainment venues which are often frequented by ISNA attendees every year.
And Allah knows best.

Aki, thanks for the advice. It is much appreciated. No one said entertainment is more important than worship. Just a friendly reminder, entertainment is not forbidden and is actually part of the sunnah. As for me, I love doing things that are sunnah. If you want to get into the semantics of what entertainment is sunnah and what is not, please take it up with a qualified scholar. I am following my teachers and my heart.
Safi, you always got my back. BarakAllahfeek. May Allah s.w.t. elevate your status in this world and the next. I completely and whole-heartedly agree with your last statement: And Allah knows best.

YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST MASHAALLAH
A Younger Muslim Says: September 2nd, 2008 at 4:19 pm
It's amazing that year after year that ISNA does not appreciate or recognize the need to tailor activities appropriate for the next generation of Muslims. They appear to suffer from some sort of superiorty complex and think that simply providing conference sessions fills that gap for younger Muslims.

I know what you mean. Any organization needs to recognize the passion and potential of the youth. There is definitely more benefit of attracting the youth and keeping them close instead of alienating and/or disenfranchising them. And Allah s.w.t. knows best.
